Unit EQ: Why should you use computers responsibly?

LEQ: How should a computer workstation be set up to reduce injury.

Activating Strategies: Set up your workstation so it is the most comfortable for you. Monitor location, keyboard, chair height, mouse location.

Acceleration/Previewing/Vocabulary:

Ergonomics, Biomechanics, Carpal Tunnel, Average, Repetative Strain (motion) Injury, Adjustable, Posture.

Teaching Strategies and Distributed Guided Practice/Summarizing Prompts:

Handout the guided notes. Explain how to complete them during the lesson. Begin the powerpoint and stop during each section to have students compare their workstation to an ideal one.

Have students record the basic facts on the worksheet about how to set up a workstation.

End Class by Performing the Stretching Exercizes and then taking the quiz link on moodle.
